Mundane Astrology

This community is a place for the discussion of John Michael Greer's (JMG) Mundane Astrology Course, and also on the subject of Mundane Astrology in general. Mundane astrology is the astrology of political events, wars, public health (yes, COVID discussions are on the menu), referendums, elections, public protests, Monarchs/Presidents/heads of government past present and future, industries, institutions, and so on. It shows trends rather than firm predictions, although I've seen some pretty startling stuff come true on or around the predicted schedule while I've been observing JMG at work.
It is a neglected subject and I personally am just beginning my own journey into this field, so my tone is necessarily going to be one of discussion and reflection rather than definitive pronouncements. Don't let that put you off from making your own pronouncements though.
I've written some prototype charting software and performed some simple research of my own so there will be posts on these subjects from me. Anything like this on your own tools, software, software that you have found helpful, and the results of any research you have performed are also perfectly within scope.
Inevitably there are a few ground rules. Anyone can join and post but all posts and comments are moderated. There are two reasons for this policy - first of all, there will be no reposting of any of the course material here and any attempts to do so will be ruthlessly pruned. JMG gives an enormous amount for his communities but he makes a living from his writing, and I certainly don't want to make that any harder. So, if you want to see what we are talking about when we talk about JMG’s ideas, join the course (see link above). This also means that if you want to talk about something he has written, you'll have to put it into your own words. That's probably a good idea in any case.
The other reason is that I will be taking a Greer like approach to trolls, blow-hards, wokels, etc. (also my sworn enemies - garden slugs). This is simply so the community can flourish. I don't have a precise policy on this yet unlike JMG, but if you think of me as an easily shocked Victorian era maiden aunt, you've got the general idea.

There will in due course be a post on the prediction regarding HRH Prince Philip (1921-2021) but not yet. That wound is still too raw.
